But if theres not slack in the system there would be no shock loading,there fore the rope wouldnt be weakend?? (as much)

Just get a large spliced eye'd instead of a ring which means you can put it in/retrieve it from tight crutches (see drewb's thread/pic) And cocoons are awesome! :thumbup1:

Was having a play with a no slack system at the weekend,and was wondering if it or something similar can be used climbing in general (Instead of just going up like what;s in the guide to the canopy) Hope that makes sense??
