    if you read drews post he say's you can use a small sling and keyring clip instead of the ropeman? Do you really think im gonna go climbing useing a keyring clip for load bearing??

  6. hi chris,im in christchurch,Im the same as you,a bit,done my nptc and a started out as a groundie back home in scotland,then moved here with folks 4 years ago started at the bottom learning to climb and now with 3yrs exp im a site manager/team leader and a lead climber,so all is good,

  8. would like to thank Marc, he mentioned on a thread about helmets, that the vertex chin strap and head harness assemble can be removed and put in the washer. Mine was getting real stinky, I had tried wiping it but it was no better. After reading Marc's tip I took mine off the hat, my lass washed it and today I enjoyed a STINK free day for the first time in months. Did that just the other day,and never thought about taking it out and washing it, and now it nice and clean and shiny.

  13. Well said jarnii,sounds like your having a sweet time,Pretty much goes for me in nz to (except the 200ft trees) Its definately a culture shock when you first get here but you soon get used to it. Oh and theres no better place to work like uni's on a hot day
  14. One of the boys at work has just had this AP spliced,Im no expert but im not sure it correct?? The whipping inparticular can be seperated with a finger nail. The splice in question is the one with the black whipping and the other to compare it with is done by drewb, What are your thoughts on this?still ok to use?

    So going back to that photo of yours,does the system move(hense the revolver)or just stay the same?Its all new to me btw and havnt used it yet? revolver on its way from uk
  23. Rings get stuck to much compared to a large eye,also it a ring needs to be llarger than the large ring off a standard cam saver.and slings r cheap as
