  1. Commentry was priceless ! Beast of a saw too ! Nice !
  2. Basically, you clean the front and rear branches off the trees and then interweave the side branches together to create a kind of hedge ! They used to use it for fortification in acient times. Its a bit gay if you ask me - but the colleges have bottomless pots of money which I will gladly help them to spend......
  3. Had a request from a Cambridge college to ariel pleach some limes ! Has anyone done any ???
  4. The proof of the insurance is in the claim. Dont think that because you got a piece of paper all will be well. Using subbies just complicates matters when there's an accident. Neville Chamberlain once said ; " I have in my hand, a piece of paper" !!!
  5. You cant beat experience - in any walk of life. Tickets satisfy insurers and the like but I seen loads a shite guys with tickets, useless. Getting both is like finding rocking horse manure,....discuss....
  6. Really ??? swaying off a topic...on here.......can't beleive it !!!
  7. thats a good point well put. Anyone can buy and use a 088 or 3120 with a 48" bar !
  8. Asking you to butcher a tree is just plain stupid and not worthy even of a response, surely ?? If they asked you to butcher their pig that would be feasible ! Dissapearing up your own arse is a reference to someone whos self importance has become exagerrated - or in this case, someone whose view of the importance of their job has become exagerrated, not a direct reference to you personally but just a reminder to all us saddo's on forums to be mindful of our insignificance in the wider picture - so to speak !
  9. Thanks for the definition - I was called this a while back and I thought 'eh' ????
  10. Are they ? MS200 carbs arer crap too ! Are the engines too puny or what ??
  11. I was talking about work in general - not butchering a tree. If a customer wants to pay to have a healthy tree removed, provided its all legal, I'll do it. Morals and treework dont cut it in my book, some of you guys too often forget, were not dealing with the middle east crisis here.Tree surgery, felling etc, a part of agriculture. Dont dissapear up your own arse.
  12. Send me some info then...... The HSE now classify self feed drums as illegal and non compliant.Ive had numerous dealings whith them on this issue.
  13. I see what your saying but there is nothing wrong with doing a job just for the money. Making or applying a moral judgement about someones work is bollocks. Each to his own. I started the job when I retired, to keep fit.Now I do it for the money - I enjoy the work too but you got to live.
  14. Mate, if people over here had ever experienced these machines they would feel embarrased talking up Timberwolfs and Jensens and the like...the HSE in UK has ruined it all....our fun that is !!!
  15. I hardly do any domestic - but your so right about all the crap that goes with the other work !
  16. Wise man - if you cant be a lawyer, marry one ! Just dont get a divorce !!!
