  1. Same as anything J, if you are using the mill 6 days a week 7 hours a day you need to spend money.
  2. Totally agree Th forum is so busy simply because people do have differing views and opinions and I did think that the whole point of forums was to exchange those views. However frustrating it is, it is extremely arrogant to demean every single person on this thread without quoting who the post is targeting. That poster really gets on my tits because he regularly does this and should know better
  3. The 2000 also has some screw down legs for more permanent, secure placement that allow for fine adjustment
  4. Your choice to work in the public sector Think yourself lucky, I,ve been working 7 days a week 70 - 8o hours a week for the last nine month, no holiday pay, no sick pay and no pension, but we digress
  5. I,m sure he has and i fully respect his views. I,m a fully qualified mechanical engineer with 30 years experience and 20 years experience of selling and repairing all manner of tools and equipment. I wouldn't compare a mini cooper to a merc You can only compare like for like
  6. Operator error and incorrect setup account for a huge percentage of people's gripes with any machine. When I got my mill, I found it wasn't setup right, the guide wheels were out of line, tension wrong etc etc etc. Setup the mill correctly, tension it correctly and change and sharpen the blades regularly and you won't have problems. Try to rush and you will
  7. Wouldn't you think 200 years is more than enough time for even the slackest of TO,s to get round to protecting the tree
  8. The question is, could you ever trust this particular TO again?
  9. Haha you have to go one better don't you (-:
  10. Breaking news, tree professionals don't just take trees down, we actually look after some trees and carry out planting, I have planted probably 10 x more trees this year than I have taken down.
  11. Neither is waiting 6 week and putting a tpo on the night before the work commences
  12. Edited and removed my post because I'm not in the right frame of mind to reply fairly
  13. The TO was underhand in my opinion and this type of action only encourages developers and tree professionals to be underhand too. If that happened to me I would lose all trust in them and as soon as the email came back as clear would start ring barking them if I couldn't fit them in quickly. Unprofessional behaviour breeds unprofessional behaviour
  14. I'm on the iPhone which won't pm I'll send details this aft
  15. Only info I could find mike was the link in post 6 My mate had a few of them but had someone in mind for them, I,ll try get over next week and see if they are still there and if he can spare one more They are HP lifting bags
  16. This demo is on the front wheel of the 130 and only about 10 psi [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiBktzvzuEQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player]Air bag lift demo - YouTube[/ame]
  17. For a 10m the headache of keeping it maintained, lolered and insured for hiring out might not be worth it. Small mewps are easily hired from any hire shop so you may get very few hires. The only way I would go is down the specialist side of mewp hire, like tracked and limited access mewps with operator. Hired out tackle without operator will get abused / damaged or even stolen, people just don't look after tackle that they haven't had to fork out lots of money for.
  18. Mick, we all make mistakes mate
  19. You could over inflated your spare for one or two inflations and still have enough for if you have a puncture with that method Tom
  20. Whos bright idea was it to award a posey of flowers to the medalists in the boxing Welsh silver medalist Freddie Evans looked positively thrilled to be holding a bunch of flowers infront of millions of viewers
  21. It should be operated with a special valve block which has blowoff valves etc but all you do is wedge and chock as you lift for safety. One small pad on its own will lift 9" which is just enough to get some timber under to rest the stem on. Its quite simple to knock up a valve system with a safety blowoff valve set at around 7 bar so you can't over inflate
  22. Just to give an idea of size and thickness it's against the landy wheel
