  1. A long time ago, about 4 years, we camped in a barn, went out on the pee, Skyhuck started on a load of rugby players, he also slept with a pink blanket and got us all worried, we all woke up with hangovers so had a good evening:001_smile: Can't remember where it was
  2. Climbing or a just a pee up like last time
  3. That'd be because Jon had only had one cider, if you,d met him later in the day when he had had 15 then you might have had a different opinion
  4. The green builders gloves give you at least a 2-1 grip advantage, less strain on the joints. It would be like someone squatting with weights and someone else squatting without, who's knees are going to last longest My joints are starting to feel the strain now at 49, I didn't used to wear gloves and suffered with carpel tunnel problems, tennis elbow... I started wearing gloves and now I hardly have to exert any pressure to grip the rope, haven't suffered carpel tunnel syndrome and our lass appreciates my now lovely soft hands
  5. All that is needed is a remote SIM card router for £30 and you can use any cheap ip camera and log in from your pc or mobile to view, the only data you will use is the data from logging in. A lot of cameras now have an alarm trigger output or motion detect output which can be set to text or email through the supplied free software. Potentially you could have cctv anywhere you want for around £100 quid
  6. I have been looking at putting in a security camera in at my yard and wirelessly linking it via microwave or radio to my house 800m away and linking it in to my existing system. All this is very expensive to have pan tilt and zoom function as well means a two way communication system, we are talking thousands. Whilst browsing all the different systems I came across some cheap controllable cameras that work from an fixed IP data SIM card over the 3 or 4g network ie. orange, vodaphone etc. which can be remotely viewed by PC, iPad or smart phone and controlled This could be a good cheap system we could all utilise for yard security, a wagon battery would power it for weeks, add a solar panel...... Dvr and you have 24 hr recording too. Does anyone run a 3G camera ? Pro,s Con,s ? This is an indoor version of what I mean YouTube
  7. Gloves unless I forget them or its too warm. Why make it hard for yourself by not wearing them.. There will be a lot of testosterone happy climbers that say gloves are for girls......let's see what they say when they are in there 50s and their finger joints are knackered
  8. I called them recently after the attempted theft of my mewp from my yard, the operator asked me if I wanted a police visit or just a crime number!
  9. I remember you posting that tunnel, it's an absolute cracker, where's it from Steve ?
  10. It's 42ft x 22ft and 7.5 ft high but I have just ordered some 3ft ext tubes for the sides to make it 10ft high It stands me at £310 so far Incluring digger hire and £60 for Groundy to help me collect it. I will have another £200 to pay for cover and probably another 100 for timber
  11. Last week's project was putting in the base for my chill cabin
  12. This poly tunnel ain't going to blow away, the scaffold tubes I'm using for ground anchors are 7' long Just another 11 to go
  13. Was to make a 50ft x 28ft car park for my mini arb truck down at the yard
  14. This will be the third year of defoliation, I have over 300 semi mature trees and everyone is affected to differing degrees, some totally, some partially some very little. If there were a natural answer I'd use it.
  15. They are munching on all the hornbeam, and silver birch. They have munched all the leaves off my two walnut saplings which has made me angry
  16. Got these back again this year in their thousands, they are defoliating all my trees. I'm going to buy a stihl backpack petrol sprayer and sort them. I think I may be too late for this year, I would presume you need to spray them in the caterpillar stage, I reckon the are getting ready to change so by the time I get organised......... What insecticide will I need Does anyone know if encouraging bluetits etc works for future reference
  17. I gave NFU a chance tobeat the quote and they have matched it
  18. It's been working today, it carried a whole bulk bag of woodchip and the dogs in the dog box, one shovel and a bucket. I,ve done 30 miles in it in the last two days
  19. Just phoned Vosa to check and it is definately exempt from mot and tax All electric goods vehicles are exempt from mot
  20. ]Got it on the road now with one of the controllers which is not programmable so I'm having to put up with golf cart settings till I get one of the other programable controllers fixed then I can set top speed and acceleration etc Took the tipper back off to save 150 kilos as its only being used as an advertising platform it's pointless carting the extra weight about Just need to get it sign written npct and plantar is a bit tacky I used an old a board from 10 years ago
