  1. ..and the waste of space in the passenger seat.. Only joking Todd
  2. There's another three not in shot Ian
  3. So you would go out of your way to do him a favour Stakes, ties, planting and aftercare. Read the post properly Bob, I do take it you know how big a XHS tree is, it's to prepare, dig, fertilise, stake, mulch and kept watered throughout next summer. ALL FOR £158 If you think that's dear, try £150 for a load of 15% moisture logs or £50 per level bulk bag, have had to order another 50 bags this year, ran out last year. A business management studies course may be the way forward for you Bob, you'll never get anywhere if your charging silly prices. Oh sorry, forgot, your employed not self employed
  4. Lockjack setup with sling to send it away from you for ascending, double sling to get it closer or connect straight to crab for even closer. Cambium saver makes it glide, though for take downs I like a bit of friction
  5. Only because no-one uses Husqy
  6. I'm afraid you have a point Aborlord. The more legislation or should I say needless legislation we have to comply with the more it costs IMO, we harvest a produce not produce waste. Trees are grown, then we harvest them. I think that would stand up in court.
  7. They told me they'd change the bottom feed roller for me for a modified one... but, I'd have to get the chipper to them up north somewhere and leave it while they change it. Knowing it was a waste of time and wouldn't cure the problem I have never bothered, it would have cost me a days wages plus fuel for nothing. I didn't confront them at the APF but did chuckle a little to see the 65XL they were demo'ing was side on so you couldn't see the feed rollers and the trap door was open underneath. Obviously the mod doesn't work then. I'm going to do my own mod this winter when things quiet down a little but at the moment I'm run off my feet.
  8. I'll be slappin the back of your pandies soon with your text talk
  9. There shouldn't be any need for small arb companies to pay for tipping that you don't know whats going to happen to it or to burn All my chip is given away free, to householders to use as mulch, I have a sign saying "free chip help yourself" and the chip pile remains at a constant, it goes out as fast as it comes in. I have two or three landscapers that take about six ton per week on average. .
  10. Always new you Batmen were strange
  11. Ivy removal seems to be the theme this month. Four storey RQG18 job.
  12. I used to eat sugar sandwiches when I was younger and I used to love burnt chips, (ie black burnt to a crisp)
  13. Hmmmm. Cheese, salad, and Grape sandwich. Raw brocolli dipped in Mayo
  14. A one foot ext on the Bandit, put's it nicely where I want it, extending to two foot and doing a better job of it now the warranty has run out.
  15. He has asked me to supply a Landrover load of logs this week. I'm taking him a bill for £684 inc the logs I know he will blow his top, if he does and refuses I will start legal proceeding and involve the forestry commission and HSE. 2x Juglans XHS 14-16rb £176.25 Delivery of trees £99.87 Stakes, planting, aftercare, £158.00 Timber taken from felled trees £150 Load of unseasoned split logs £100 Total £684.12 I've already explained to him I'm only putting right his wrongs and not punishing him.
  16. But illegal gun ownership makes for an unsafe society. In Switzerland every adult male is legally required to own an handgun, yet guncrime is virtually zero. It's also a myth that gun crime is rife in the us because there are so many guns, gun crime should be reported by ratio of population ie per million not by country. Also gun legally held gun crime in britian is virtually non existent
  17. In that case go to a dealer who knows what he is doing, some dealers don't repair they just sell. If he's giving you that sort of advise and he's an authorised dealer he should be reported to Stihl UK
  18. I have to agree with you Bob. But he is still going to have to replace the trees, that should go without saying.
