  1. Rupe, we still haven't had the Suburu story!
  2. What do you all prefer and why? Pros and cons etc.
  3. Which do you like best Mk1 with rope or MK2 webbing? Intersting that the new primus has gone back to rope.
  4. PPE should be worn when handling young kids! Helmet, Visor, good ear defence and a large waterproof coat to wash the sick off!
  5. Unless you use a pulley in the system then friction will be more or less the same. ART positioner or primus looks good although lots of people have made their own.
  6. I was using a hitchclimber with a distel/Swabish. I tried the VT both one day for no reason the hitch constantly began slipping. I was very near my TIP. Washed all the ropes etc and went back to distel.
  7. Should have thought of that! Especially with some of the recent threads! As I tell my kids " How do you know you don't like it until youv'e tried it!"
  8. Tried my spiderjack and positioner yesterday. Wow I realy like it, didn't take too long to get used to, think i'm converted! I have a soft link on the positioner, would you have a soft link on the spiderjack? it doesn't say use one on the wife guide!

  10. Its taken a while but here goes! The only way I can do this is if you send the cheques here, I will collect and pass on to the Treasurer. Please put your user name on the back so when i eventualy get the cheque I can identify who has sent it. If there are more than 30 names will go in a hat!   12. Hi, Just had a friend ask me about a Palm tree. Its fallen over and the bottom of the stem has no bark for aproximatley 12". He would like to know if he can form a cutting from one of the top limbs is so what does he hace to do? Many thanks!

  16. SBTC, I am not knocking your work in any way! Just looked like a power line in the photos to me. I am sure there will be somebody on here who can tell me what the lines are for and what they do etc? as I said before nice job!
  17. Very thick phone line and there's an insulator next to the building. What's the other line for?
  18. It looks like that was a sheaved cable? Did you have any problems getting a shut down? Nice job!

  20. XTC plus for me, I fancy trying the tachyon but not sure how it would feel dropping to the smaller diameter?

  22. You are very brave posting that vid on here! There are a lot of very experienced people that can give you loads of tips and advice. They can also tear you apart Looks like you know you made loads of mistakes. Well done for posting the vid.
