  1. .....interesting that the council felt the need to employ arboricultural consultant. Was this to gain a fully independent report or perhaps they didn’t have their own qualified Arborist. Good result though, a picture would be nice bro....
  2. All my team have been using Timberland for the last few years. Very good gloves, and if you wear Stihl high-flex and aqua-fell boots they all match!
  3. I'm L/A si I'll try and keep out of this one.....But, I have been known to work weekends. Three years ago I used to work for £100, that is untill I found out gardeners round here were asking £120 per day! I dont work weekends now (my spare time is far too important) But If I did I'd want £150.per day, climbing.

  9. I am having to write individual generic method statements for all our tree cutting operations, e.g. Pollarding, Tree Removal (Highways), Stump grinding (Highways) etc etc… Does anyone have up to date copies of 3998 & 5837 by any chance ??
  10. Took this from the Worcester News.... "Last year, artist Tom Harvey worked with school children from Pershore to transform a diseased 80-year-old purple beech tree in Pershore’s Abbey Park into an imposing work of art. On Tuesday, Mr Harvey returned to attach an informative plaque to the piece, Leafing Through History. A spokesman for Wychavon District Council said: “People had been asking questions about it and we simply felt the information would help.” The plaque tells passers-by that children from Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Primary School and Abbey Park First School inspiried Mr Harvey to create the sculpture, which depicts a boy reading about nature and took six weeks to complete".

  19. Today was the annual trip to buy the Christmas tree. My daughter always comes to help. We cleared out the discovery, folded the seats down and jumped in eager to bring home some festive-fun. Arrived at the garden centre which I've used for Christmas trees for 4 or 5 years, found a nice tree (modest 6 foot specimen, non-needle drop, nice branch structure, no recognisable defects) £50.00 !!!!!! In the words of Victor Meldrew...."I Don't Believe It!" Last year I bought a seven footer for about £35 from the same place. I bought it of course, my daughter made sure of that! So come on, how much was yours.......
