  1. As far as i know the VAT thing came about for the building industry. So it covered boots & helmets, builders don't need protective trousers thats why there not included. If anyone knows anything different please let me know as its a question I'm asked a lot.
  2. We do these http://www.sentribox.com/ they will send direct to you, if you pick one you like, find the best price you can, call me and I'll beat it. You do my ground work and I'll give you the discount. Only sell about 10 a year but never had a complaint. Hope this helps.
  3. Was thinking about having a bit of a meet up after the first day (Friday) behind our marquee for a chat, beers, poss BBQ (once cleared with Capel), let me know what you think.
  4. There is a file to sharpen them but, its expensive, takes ages to do, and a spare blade is about the same price. I've sold the file before but the guy said it took him ages.

  6. Due to the Euro being crap a lot of the stuff that comes from Europe is due to have a price increase as of 1st April. This is from the manufactures so it will affect every stockist across the country. Big increase on harnesses EKN + £15.00 Austria Duo + £20.00, so nows the time to get them while your dealer still has some existing stock.

  9. The boots with the composite toe cap are the Lavoro Aquafells not the Elten Aquafells these have steel toe caps. It does get a bit confusing. I refuse to sell the composite toe cap boots. As you can tell this is not my showroom but my camera was at home so i took the boots home with me, I'm not a work out of my home internet company your all welcome to come to our showroom and have a look around.
  10. If your staying in London I'd stay near the South-bank nice part of London, London eye, London Aquarium, Tate Modern, good bars & food. Gives you access to Mainline stations so if you want 1 day away from London you can be in Kent in 20 mins http://www.southbanklondon.com/page/whatson
  11. They are European sized so 42/8 and 43/9 no 8.5 you are welcome to come and try or I'll have them at Capel.
  12. Had a bit of a deal with Elten and have got a pallet of factory seconds Aquafell Experts pictured below. The only fault is a scuff or crease in the leather (these are not customer returns, never worn). Honest opinion is we can't see any real faults, had to look at three pairs before I found one that slightly resembles a fault (pictured below) Price for these is normally around the £150-£160 mark. We can do these for £110 no VAT If interested PM or give me a call.

  18. Found this on the guy. Dan Osman (February 11, 1963–November 23, 1998) was an Asian American extreme sport practitioner, known for the dangerous sports of "free-soloing" (rock climbing without ropes or other safety gear); and "rope jumping" (controlled free-falling) (falling several hundred feet from a cliff then being caught by a safety rope), for which his record was over 1200 feet. He was known for living a bohemian lifestyle, rarely working, and living in a tree house for months at a time. He was the star of several rock climbing videos, which brought free-soloing to a wider audience. Dan had one daughter[1]. Death He died on November 23, 1998 at the age of 35 after his rope failed while performing a "controlled free-fall" jump from the Leaning Tower rock formation in Yosemite National Park. The failure was investigated by the National Park Service with assistance from Chris Harmston, Quality Assurance Manager at Black Diamond Equipment. Harmston concluded that a change in jump site angle probably caused the ropes to cross and entangle, leading to the rope cutting by melting.[2] Miles Daisher, who was with Osman when he made the jump, stated that the ropes used in his fatal jump had been exposed to inclement weather - including rain and snow - for more than a month before the fatal jump, but that the same ropes were used for several shorter jumps on the previous and same day.[3]

  20. We sell the Marlow and Yale products, used to sell the XTC-12, both are good the XTC-12 has a hollow core and as far as i knew the XTC-12 was not coming into this country any more. We don't get any complaints from the Marlow rope and we've sold 100's of them. Hope this helps.
  21. Just picking up on this thread, have been over seeing my house build for 13 months now just about p***ed off with waiting to get back in.
