  5. I've an old (96) entec chipper sitting in the corner of my yard ,it hasn't been used for a couple of year's.It's had one hydraulic motor replaced then the other went a couple of month's later, it was a well used machine, old style hse stop bar which needed to be updated, but didnt think it was worth throwing the money at on top of the other work required! pretty tatty etc.So it was replaced with a newer model. Is it worth anything , should i weigh it in for scrap ,leave it to rot or i have a engineer mate who reckon's he could use it for the beginning's of a large splitter, anyone with any suggestions/recommendation's?
  6. Fantastic!! Is it for your self or a commision for a customer ??

  9. I've got a cut and climb smock as well it is superb, and actually waterproof!! Very good service and quick delivery from Clark's.
  10. Has anyone on here used the easy lift harness in the real world? As after a couple of day's shift trimming hedge's it is looking a good bit of kit to have. Would it be feasable to use when trimming those really wide conifer hedges that are really hard on the back, or would it interfere with mobility to much?
  11. Hi how long have you been using the load handler and how do you find it?
  12. A bit of both really. My own situation is mostly arb work in the winter , summertime grass cutting, fencing, general gardening work. With a self employed lad working with me a lot of the time:sneaky2: But trying to work out whether it would be better to drop some of my workload and just get in help as and when it is needed. A lot less paperwork, moaning and i can work what hour's i want? Obviously for any treework i would need a groundy in some shape or form!
  13. How many people on here work solely on their own.How do you find the life work balance?
  14. The easiest way would be with an electric planer or a router with a straight edge and a long straight bit.
  15. Does anyone know of anywhere in North Glasgow that will take wood chip as I am doing a job to help out a mate? i.e. Council dumps etc Thanks.
  16. This seem's to be a good idea if you could patent it and bring it to market you would make a fortune!!
  17. Has anyone used Teeside Woodchipper's i had a look at them before i bought one off of Orange Plant? It seemed odd at the time no landline number, no website and no vat, i'm sure they're legit but it did seem a bit sus which put me off, plus i haven't heard of anyone who has used them can anyone tell me otherwise?
  18. Good on him bet he felt better for sorting that out himself!!!
  19. The ram on this splitter is reasonably slow so it would take a fairly determined effort to lose a finger!!! Hope your mate heal's quick! I know a few lad's on here have the same model of splitter so i'm sure it has been done and mentioned somewhere on arbtalk, although i now can't find it.
  20. Can anyone tell me how to convert my ls 550 log splitter to one handed operation? thank's
