  1. Now now Cokey that 's a tad harsh. :blushing:Simple misunderstanding with the classified section!
  2. Isle of Arran, West Coast Scotland.
  3. What's your weather been like this weekend? Been snowing here sat. about four inches, and bloody cold now really icy. Is it wrong to be sledging at this time of night ? Live on a small cul de sac with no traffic so been using the nipper's sledge's good fun sledging by street light neighbour's don't seem to impressed though!
  4. Just been in at my dealer whole box of spout's all of them were stiff that's before they have even been used! Stihl can's seem to be the way to go.
  5. Why do these bloody thing's alway's stick open when you refuel, then spill fuel all over the place when you take them out. Fecking useless!

    Swandri

I think my Swanny is brilliant, waterproof and very hard wearing. Certainly will replace it with another when it reaches the end of it's life! Only downside is it look's a bit old fashioned but not a problem for work!! also the cuffs could do with some sort of velcro closure in stead of the button's , but other than that superb.
  9. does it have a fleece collar?
  10. Need to get a new jacket for work, as it seem's to rain alot up here ! and my old one leak's ! read a few of the post's on here about them. The one's i'm considering are the new Stein one that Jonsie sell's or one made by a company called treetop clothing or something like that.they used to sell them on ebay but cant seem to find them now or get aprice for them i don't know if they are still around or what. Any feedback on either would be great.
  11. Good photo's you make that manouver look easy!
  12. I used to work with a bloke who built his own chipper, bloody hell was it a dangerous mother. Looking back now it was amusing but at the time very scary!!!!!
  13. Just back from there meself, seem's a distant memory already with the horizontal rain we've had today. Dorada, ice cold lovely, i am jealous.
  14. No offence meant, but in Scotland most houses that were built in more superstitious times had a Rowan tree in the garden to keep witch's away, don't know whether they differentiated between differing type's of witch, good or bad. But alledgedly it's bad luck to cut them down, that's what got me thinking about the whole superstition thing!
  15. A regular customer of mine has just had me fell a big old Rowan tree, just wondering if any one on here is superstitious and feart of witches bad luck etc?
  16. Who did he complain to?
  17. Yanigav?? Youre having a laugh or someone is!! Who would buy a splitter that spell's Vagina backward's?? Made me chuckle anyway.
  18. After Friday spent at APF looking at al sort's of shiney new kit, most of which i can't afford! I'm thinking of trading in my old 6 inch Entec chipper for a newer bigger model, perhaps a 8 inch Timberwolf , not sure what would you go for? Also it would be handier if it was wider as reversing it behind the 130 can be a right nightmare as the high sides obscure all sign of it till it's too late to correct!

    APF no MUD

She certainly seemed to be felling the cold when we saw her! but good chance for a kodak moment:blushing:
  20. I've got a ls 550 as well, mine is a MTD, good bit of kit easy to move around and make's life a lot easier quartering log's than using an axe! You do have to bolt a jockey wheel on to the front though.
  21. Almost time for insurance renewal. What do you do, use one company for all your insurance, vehicle's, pl, el,chipper's, tool's etc.? As i have built up my business over the last few year's, i have differing insurance's on my kit which i have taken out as i get more involved with purchasing equipment, hiring in plant using subbies. Is there a good insurance company that you use that can provide adequate cover in one hit without me having to phone around all the usual suspect's? Just trying to make life easier for myself as i'm not exactly the most organised individual:blushing:, plus if i can save myself a few bob in the process all the better!!!!!
  22. Good decision. And look's like a job well done. Certainly a tree with a lot of character!
  23. Thank's lad's it make's sence now. Trip to the library for me to get a hold of a copy of that book . Cheer's again.
  24. Just finished a job for a customer who has given me a fish smoker but with out the instructions, it's a Abu Garcia and i'm clueless on how to use the bugger, anyone know how it work's ?
  25. "McCrindle's fence has gone slack." Very good book.
