  1. ah yes the shizl spider sling
  2. What's the shizl one bob?
  3. https://honeybros.com/Category/Advanced_Slings
  4. Been looking at the Honey Brothers one and thinking of getting one as an alternative for a redirect pulley and on it's own for light rigging applications as an alternative to a swing cheek pulley. Does anyone else do this or see an issue with it?
  5. Oh right. It doesn't say anything in the handbook about removing them but my mate's are removable and had velcro top and bottom. I'll just live with it in but it chaffs my shins a bit. Not the comfiest boots I've had either but I tried 3 different brands on and each had something awkward going on. I think my right foot is bigger than my left though. They shouldn't be fake because I bought them at the local dealer
  6. How the heck to you get the tongue out of the boot? It's velcro at the top but seems to be stitched at the bottom near the forefoot.
  7. Thanks David
  8. Looking for some tips. Just bought a cheap flight to Carcassonne near Toulous and I haven't been to this area before. I'm sure there will be plenty of sight seeing to do but I'm wanting to maybe fit an activity or two in like canooing or anything of the likes. I'm travelling alone so a group activity would be good because I like meeting folk. If anyone has any local knowledge please point me in the right direction. I'll be staying for a week, in the city and without a car. Thanks
  9. Can anyone confirm this is oyster? It's on a fairly large bough with busy road target. Thanks
  10. It's either plum or something closely related. It's pretty big
  11. That went through my mind for a split second! Thanks David
  12. Sorry about quality and orientation. Everything is a nightmare on aldi tablet!
  13. More pics
  14. Could do with a little help identifying both host and fungi! I know it's a prunus of some kind
  15. Video chilled me out! They look good but most of the sites I plant on are full of rubble. Wonder how much tension would be required?
  16. Thanks for the links. They are useful for me
  17. Hello, I'm the chair of a tree warden group in Lancashire and we are planning out our activities for the year. Someone suggested something crafty like spoon carving, bowl turning (we may have a lathe) or anthing else really. We have good access to green wood but nothing seasoned really. If anyone knows someone who could come over for a day could you please let me know? We have some money in the budget so day rates and conditions will be required. Thanks in advance
  18. I like the lack of webbing sling. Less thumb pressure sounds good as do the other features
  19. It didn't look like it in my book but an image search did show similarities
  20. Ahh nice one fellas. I need more books!
  21. This was on a dying limb on a willow. Sorry about the low quality. Lost trying to reduce size for attachments
  22. Used a T536Li for a while now and think it's great. Two issues is that the battery sometimes dislodges and it can't be used in very wet weather. Has its place in our tool range. I'm tempted to buy a stihl one for myself because they seem pretty good and useful for small jobs
  23. Was told in the shop when buying a new 550 xpg with auto carb adjust, not to run it dry because it adjusts the carb to that weak mix. To be honest this saw is more temperamental to start than any other I've used so don't want to complicate it further by running it dry
  24. So if the rule of thumb is correct then the msa chipper muffs rated at 31snr are inadequate. Myself and a colleague find that the chipper is too loud when using these
  25. I like the table. The best earmuffs I've used were the old husky ground helmet and I think they were only 27snr. They just seemed to clamp over your ear and make a better seal than these new climbing helmet ones
