  1. No,totally his fault.He followed a farmer who lived in the closure,past the barriers and signs,the farmer turned into his farm and this muppet put his foot down and hit the timber.The closure was not our responsibility it was put on by the council.

  3. The road was closed for two days for us to do the job, we had left timber in the road overnight and when we came back this morning a car had come past the road closed signs and hit the timber!

The guy on the right is Barry, known on here as "xpert tree climber", who sub's to me from time to time,but does'nt climb on my jobs,I always climb,I'm a bit of a control freak. The guy on the left is Tod my main groundie.

  12. And you need to be aware that its plated weights,so if you pull an empty trailer that is plated for more than 750kg you could get done.

  15. lol,by calling them arisings you also make it clears your only removing what "arises" from your work and not all the other crap on site.
  16. seriously,I always refer to the stuff we move from site as arisings on quotes and invoices ect.That way your not puting them in any kind of category for some bureaucrat to say you need a permit ect.

  19. Very good thread! very good of Bob to take the time and trouble. Personally I never use a wire core, always use rope strop with my life line by my knees,touch wood,never cut my strop in 14 years,but I always check my strop position before making the cut.
  20. I was pulled on the M6 in my old mog rear axel 2 ton over,went to court I as the diver was given a total discarge my LTD company was fined £350,was my first offense.
