  1. If you have over reved it after the porting, that will have scored the pot and piston and killed the saw. Lumpy running and cutting out is one of the symptoms of scoring.
  2. I'm sorry, but if thats your idea of "morals" its a strange one. You don't have a problem with lying then??
  3. You could change the drive sprocket to increase chain speed, but you may find this makes the lack of power worse.
  4. With a hug and and a big thankyou
  5. Errr............bit of a contradiction there First you say they are not for one handed use, then you say its OK sometimes He was asking about the saw not its use. We can all find fault if we wish to, I could ask why your sat on that limb in your avatar?, I would have thought you should be standing?
  6. Not idea when working on tarmac.
  7. I think its down to cambium thickness, the beatles only burrows into the cambium of trees over a certain size. I wounder if the odd tree that does not succumb has thiner cambium?
  8. Maybe, but what will it pull?? Could you have a chipper AND a trailer on a iveco??
  9. I WISH!!!!!!!! Some will do anything but get stuck in!!
  10. Voted for you John! Voted "flop" for loads of the others, some were very hot girls!...........what am I doing?????????
  11. No I did not double my profit, I doubled my "turnover", big difference. My profit only increased by about by around 50 or 60%, as my over heads also went up, as mogs are expensive to buy and maintain. A larger mog without trailer will carry around 3ton of chip, but the trailer is the secret, as I can pull a 13ton trailer. A 13ton trailer will carry 9 or 10ton, which equates to around 7 to 10 tranny's
  12. Saying you were washing your hair ain't gonna cut it this time mate!!
  13. Good what, climber or wife ??
  14. They cost lots to run, BUT, IME, they make even more. I used turn over around £50k to £60k with a 3.5 ton pickup, working like a dog. I now turn over £100K, taking life much easier, with a mog. Works for me
  15. Spot on!! Without Margret I very much doubt I would have my own Co or the standard of life my family enjoy Not saying she was all good, but she did a lot of things that NEEDED doing, IMO.
  16. 6 years ago, I was pulled in my old mog on the M6, I was done for the rear axle being 2 ton over weight. (I changed to a larger mog to prevent it happening again) I had gone more than 100km from my base, the mog had a tacho fitted, they said in future if I am going more than 100km from my base I should either use the tacho or IF I PREFERRED I could simple keep a log of hour in a note book on the dash. I believe this is only the case if you are claiming an exemption or have a restricted OP, IE only carry your own stuff to you own yard.
  17. In 15 years I have never worked with or seen a woman on site.
  18. But you would happily fell it??????
  19. Very true, but round my way I would not get a LWB any where near many of my jobs and I hate dragging
