Posted dated cheques only work if you don't pay them in, the staff often don't look at the date. The customer has to real trust that you won't pay it in until the agreed date.

I'll give any one 30 days to pay. A week is nothing. I really do get why people get so stressed about it. The guy has given a perfectly valid reason for needing a week, so whats the problem???

Yes thats what I mean, if you have £40k to invest you get given another £40k or so and cant get some good kit. Also larger wealthier organisations tend to have staff who can sort out all the paper work side. But TBH, I'm not really bothered, I'm proud of the fact that I've bought all my own kit without needing other to pay for it

But would it not be better if the yobs and chavs knew that ordinary folk cared enough to make a stand??? I am really saddened by the attitude of many on here, I really thought that our industry was made up of people who stood up for whats right.

The kid was in the process of committing theft, buy being on the train without a ticket, the big guy used "reasonable force" to prevent further theft. It really is sad that people think some one has the "right to struggle" when they are only being prevented from committing an offence.

But he wasn't, he was just helping to enforce it.

So every one has to wait??? The lad chose to struggle with the big guy, if he had just said "OK I'm going" I feel sure the big guy would have just let go of him and let him on his way. I think its really sad that people think things should just leave things to the police . I've chased thieves and held them until the police arrived, if I had just waited and given the police a description the villains would have got away and people would have lost their property. Law and order should be a community thing with those who feel they can helping out.
