  1. no i missed it only damage i did was a bit of fencing wire and a dint in a tin shed every one was happy with that cos of possition and targets.I only lowered half dozen pieces rest was dropped or cut n chuck.It took me and 2 groundies 3 days to do and i was the only one using the saw.
  2. To do the back cut i was stropped in and the only options were strop and ladder i had no ladder so strop was the one.
  3. IT was big about 75ft high and the base was 8ft across the other stem had broken off into 5 gardens.Knew id been using 84 with 3ft bar up the tree my arms ached like mad.

Im in the same boat customer asked was do you do with the wood i said chuck it on the pile with the rest and maybe put it on my stove.They said oh if you can use it then you can knock some money off the price cos its an ash tree.I quoted 275 for the day including the ash and some pruning on other trees.I said no potential woodsales dont pay wages and left them with it.

  21. Nice piece of work a credit to the team and to the climber especially to put the chains in the right places.Mustnt forget the crane operator for his part in such an owesome take down.

Ive had 4 pairs of different boots elten,oregon,a pair of bright orange ones wich i cant remember thier name but they were ok and a pair of no risk they last on average 10 to 12 months and all around 100 quid mark if your climbing a lot they all seem to average the same time and they are comfy why spend a fortune to get the same time span out of them IMO
  23. Dean theres a company in Rochdale that makes straps that is not far from you.I think its called Beweb but not sure they seem to be happy to help with tree surgeons.
  24. I wish my phone would ring been a cr*p year all round for me. 2 deaths in family and wife bogging off and no work coming in. If i threw my climbing rope over a branch to hang myself it would probably snap and give me a headache for a week lol. At least ive got some subbying work in that helps but its not as satisfying as been out there with your own team.
