  1. ive watched it twice i have total respect for ed the one handing is common for experianced climbers imo Please feel free to post a vid of your skills so we can be humbled to our ways of working

  3. not a fan of poisons always worried about secondary poisoning of the beasties that eat them.The trouble is i in the crown of a pretty tall tree so be awquard to get them evicted. as for defoliaring hedges i realy havnt seen such infestation

  5. ive had a call saying one of there sycamore trees is infested with tent caterpillars any advice on these critters please.

  7. why are you chipping it could it not be cut and net bagged and sold as firewood?
  8. could you not setup a heat exchange system using pipes put through the pile of chip thats heating up and have some old radiators set up so it could be used to aid the drying process ?
  9. the pattern comes from the different grades of steel in the chain apparently it looks awsome whatever.went to see a blacksmith yesterday and he had some they were great but at £400 i couldnt afford one.
  10. i was wondering if anyone had tried making a knife out of an old chainsaw chain apparently it makes a decent knife but ive yet to find someone who has one. It apparently has a pattern on it similar to the demascus steel. thanks TM:)
  11. yes wanted advice on were to get some wire connecters from for chipper but i botched it was only the light board VOSA was in guisley this morn didnt stop me luckily
  12. its been peeing down all day ive been hedge trimming absolutely drenched got home at 9 chip will be tipped in the morning.

  14. im thinking another 3.5t tipper would do my job and run 2, but as with this job busy as this month next month nothing so its swing and roundabouts really.But i think a 3.5t tipper does not have the capacity to do big tree work without a few trips to unload.

  16. ive heard you cant sharpen the carbide tipped chains with a file but may be wrong i use semi-chisel on mine as full chisel dulls quicker
  17. i used haix but never last more than 12months so looking to try some others this year
