  1. I will post a pic but having problems with my network my main pc cannot connect wirelessly and thats what i store my pics on.
  2. Well nptc either do or are doing 5 year refresher courses if so insurances would require them to be done to stay insured. And if you did not refresh im sure that would be a claus not to pay out. imo.
  3. Hey only had my treemotion for a short while now and the webbing on the legs is wearing way to fast and its getting to the point where it may start to rip any one else had this
  4. Guess not weld it
  5. Most small companys wont take the time to proove they are safe unless its law and checked up on. But i dont see it working as how can you check every one. Im just trying to work out exaclty what you mean before you start a job in the morning have hse come give you the thumbs up dont see that one. If you have an accident then of course you should have to proove you took every caution i totally agree but how do you proove that.

    Climbing

Does any one meet up do some recreational climbing i think that would be a good idea.
  12. I do like the rack tho:drunk:
  13. They will only ever investigate accidents they cant do routine check ups there will never be the man power. So if i read it right just keep every thing as safe as is feasable in the situation. I thought they already do this makes sense. But if they keep adding ledgislation then the job will one day be impossible to make any good money.
  14. So will you have to re do all that soon every 5 years sod that. Is it worth doing all that.
  15. they seem cumbersome why did he not like it
  16. Just looked at the rope guide what a contraption it does just the same as a cambium saver crab and pulley. But its bulky compared to cambium s. can some one tell me why they think its any good
  17. People will always use unqualified people mainly big tree firms. But if we want to improove the industry we should be qualified. But im still pissed at the price i would have done it ages ago if it was reasonable.
  18. Hey my bonsai have to be well looked after and root rot from to much water is a problem and soil compaction i knows its on a smaller scale but there trees all the same. Also what if the soil chemistry has been changed maybe by decomposing organic materials if the tree grew in one soil condition and then was slowly altered would that maybe cause stress and infection. I know if the soil is clay water can build up in the soil and its harder for the smaller roots to pass through clay. Maybe the tree has reached a depth with clay making it harder to pass through and may cause a problem
  19. give it 2 years maybe 3 and ill have one maybe sooner who knows. I would like one that could do 60mph tho but dont think they do. Maybe a mini unimog like a minimog lol.
  20. I like the sound of that my transits in very good condition but its a wiesel. I need a machine like a mog but too much for me right now. Can they be driven on a normal license
  21. Yeah as i said it all sounds good. On the plus you can see how each other works what gear they use so in that way experiance would be increased throughout the industry.
  22. I do like the mogs there the business what can they carry compared to a transit 3500kg
  23. The idea sounds good. I work with a few other companys and i do there tree work and any landscaping etc i get is passed onto them. It can be the difference of surviving or going bust. But this would be complex to set up properly mainly building trust with other guys trial and error. Good luck
  24. People with no quals started this business they the ones who taught you. from them this industry was born all the companys i know were trained by unqualified climbers who have been doing it for 50 odd years. quals mean nothing other than you passed a 1 day assesment whoopey. The only reason why qualifed climbers dont like it is because they wasted alot of money. Having nptc gives you no more right to cut a tree than some one with out them. Competent climbers are easy to spot they are the ones working all the time. All this talk of nptc i think im going to bite the bullet and do only the main ones for now 30-31-38-39 i guess it does look more professional and i should stop being a squeeky mcbumcheeks lol.
  25. Yeah i have worked for schools and companys estate agents insurance and H&S etc nptc are some times asked for but not required to get each job im sure some will want nptc. Instead of wingeing at people who are not qualifed winge at training providers. aimed at no one. Its one of them things ill do last because its not the most important why waste money before your business is working.
