  1. Excellent choices gents 😎👍
  2. -3 above the Rother valley today. Everything frozen solid in the woods. Spaniels came home clean and dryish. Lovely day to walk in the woods away from the wind 😎
  3. Started watching tonight. Did you watch Bitter lake? I think he describes himself as a historian first and a filmmaker second. Certainly makes you think as opposed to having an opinion rammed down your throat !
  4. Nice place. I've used the Holistic vets there many years ago.
  5. Same here in Heathfield. That wind fair whistles down the Rother valley. Old spaniel even with a coat on decided back to the car was the best plan. She just beat me to it 😁

  7. Well done Sir. I've raised a glass to you tonight
  8. here was a biology student Murdock who was studying balance in sea birds with a specific focus on terns. He proposed that giving measured doses of THC (marijuana) and observing their flight patterns would give some clutch to the problems of balance in 3D space. This proposal being given in a more liberal era, the student got the funding. Murdock filled out thousands of forms, set up a lab with a ready supply of terns, and proceeded on his way. After a year of diligent work, groveling monthly before the review committee to get his stipend, and living with drugged terns, he completed his study. With trembling hands, he delivered his 347-page report, complete with charts and graphs, to the review committee. The august body perused his study, asking penetrating questions and reducing Murdock to jell. Finally, the department head talked. The light reflected off her horn-rimmed glasses as she stared down at Murdock. “There is a lot of good work here,” she said. “But we can’t accept this report. You have detailed marvelously the effects of THC on terns but you forgot one essential step: you have no control group.” Murdock turned pale and said, “You don’t mean…” Wait for it ! Wait for it ! “Yes. I’m afraid so. You left no tern unstoned.”
  9. Happy Birthday Doris ! Fourteen today, now enjoying retirement after 13 years in the field.
  10. BBC Radio 1 will not play the original version of Fairytale of New York by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl this Christmas, because its audience may be offended by some of the lyrics. The station said young listeners were particularly sensitive to derogatory terms for gender and sexuality. It will instead play an edited version with different lyrics sung by MacColl. But the 1987 original will still be played on Radio 2, while 6 Music DJs can choose between the two versions. ???
