  1. When did you try it. It use to give me a headache and it did to a few people. Must of been around 2015 it got reformulated and I've not had a problem since. Motomix smells different as it has hp Ulta as the oil and there own blend of fuel. Then Husky one is their xp oil in some sort of fuel. Don't know if it is aspen or their own blend of fuel
  2. You would think. Our local petrol station have to come out and check your containers to make sure they are approved. Then you can have no more than 10 litres in plastic or 20 in metal. Had a arguement about combi cans with them once.
  3. 100% Another plus point of Aspen is you can get in in a pallet of 54 cans or a 20l drum or 205l drum. This means you don't have to deal with the nonsense of having to fill fuel cans up at the petrol station.
  4. Another vote for just using Aspen or motomix. Couldn't go back now just on the.non smelly fumes alone. No faffing with fuel. If your a part time user it really is the way forward.
  5. I will swap my 540mk3 and 542i bar around and see how it goes. I love my 540mk3 use it more than my 550 now, unless it's cold.
  6. My 540mk3 has the 3/8 lopro on it. I really like it. Not tried it on the battery yet. Im going to swap my 540mk3 to .325 1.1mm see how that works.
  7. I've also got a 542. Rear handled not top. It's my go to ground saw and chipper saw. I've got the new 330bli batteries which seem to run it better than the regular bli300. My gripe with it was after about 10 hours of trigger time mine died. Luckily Husqvarna replaced the clutch, motor and trigger group as they couldn't work out why it died the way it did. My first issue with a battery tool. I've got Speedcut nano on it rather than the husky sp21g which I don't like. Sp33g that came on it is a bit hard on the battery but I do like the wider kerf cuts. Much more life on the battery with the mini .325. I really like it, I think the bare unit was 630 quid and I've got the battery's for the hedgecutters and polesaw. Its a bit more ergonomic than the msa300 but I'm not sure it would win in a timed cut test.
  8. Is your trigger ok. My 520 has a trigger that doesn't work very well.
  9. Is that the 535 brushcutters. I've used mine with the clearing saw on which is good. I've only used grass blades and the tribade on bramble. Does it run the mulcher blade well.
  10. Have you tried treevolution or H W training. A 4 hour trek from you but they might know of someone local to you or be able to send you someone to you. I can do the NPTC refresher units but your 500 plus miles from me which would make it a little cost prohibitive for you.
  11. What units are you looking to refresh?
  12. I use cherry blossom I think it's called. You can pick it up in the supermarket for a couple of quid. Not as good as guardsman gloss from kiwi. I've got home haix active polish for my new boots but not used it yet
  13. Total Harvesting in Australia. Have international blokes from time to time. The locations can be remote but they do have sites all over. Many years ago I was offered a job forwarding there. UMP have operatives from time to time. Instagram is a good way to make contact with American and Canadian loggers to look for work contacts. In most of the world you would be looking for logging jobs if you want to be on the tools and a forestry job if you want to get into timber crusing. If you want to be a BC faller then the certification is very expensive and a long process
  14. I had a pixel 6 and recently upgraded to a pixel 8 pro. My next phone will be another pixel. I love the pure android experience. No complaints. Love the camera in it.
  15. I have a 542ixp that did 10 hours work before it just died. Husky wanted the bar amd chain to look at. Wanted know what batteries it was run on. After two weeks In yhe shop I got it back. It had a new trigger group new clutch and a new motor. All apparently can case the problem of the motor running but not enough to push the chain. Lovely saw but I'm not happy it broke but Husky did fix it. Wouldn't by any second hand battery stuff as I don't think the warranty transfers
  16. Are you using it at maximum capacity like the 50mm it can take and is it a lot of wood stuffy rather than hedge clippings. Then yes that looks like normal wear
  17. Operated plant hire? Operated mewp hire? Big chipper hire? Require investment but a way off the tools. Chipper mechanic if your handy.
  18. If you want a pro saw then 560 or 560. Both now in MK2. Difference is the 560 is .325 with the smaller bar mount and the 562 is in 3/8 in the big bar mount. If you want a semi pro saw it's the 555 same as a 560 minus the rev boost. So unless you do a lot of conifer shedding you won't miss it. Not used the 562 but Ite on my shopping list so I can swap bars with my 572.

    Dash cam

In the event of a claim daahcam footage is the first thing that is asked for. I got reversed into by a uber eats delivery driver who caved in the whole rear quarter. He claimed he didn't see a black car parked on the corner with it's lights on. Either way do you have dash cam was the first thing asked. Other guy said it want him...long and short for it 2 months with no car...hours on the phone and emails. For it finally to go through as a non fault claim. They were very keen on having multiple camera angles. So front/rear. I know some people have 2 fronts now. As for suggestions...next base are as good as any.
  20. Not bad little tractors. Just the plastic tanks on the side are a little vulnerable to woodland sticks. I know one man who punctured the tank twice before he guarded it. Solid little tractors. Whatch out for dodgy water pumps and hydraulic leaks under the cab.
  21. Concrete slab, concrete blocks 1 or two courses then build your self a studwork frame sides screw some osb to the sides and then use some WRC or Larch to clad it. Expensive yes but good.
  22. The.JX cases are very good. I think the newer ones come under their farmall range.ive driven a couple of the 100hp farmalls with loaders and they are great little things. I don't know what it is about 5000 series Massey's but they hold their value. I was in Waterford just after Christmas I stopped in at a dealers (proper bus man's holiday) and the price of the things was astronomical.
  23. If you tip it up and raise it up a bit it's not too bad. Less effort than into the truck.
  24. 1 tonne high tip articulated dumper. £168 quid a week on hire. Doesn't hold much chip but can hold logs.well.
  25. Depends how much money you want to spend? Greenmech 165evo is my go to 6ish machine. Dont mind a timbrwolf. The little.Jenson 530 chips ok but the no stress reset is crap. Forst get the disel. If your going low house used then if you can afford the step up to a bigger machine....tw280 or a evo205
