Its a old throw bag , i think the two rings where used too hold the line enough for throwing , but would allow slippage when pulling hard thus releasing the bag.

I need to try that line as well Paul , but my one concern is , is it smooth/slick enough.

Who's happy with their Throw line choice and please do tell what line it is. I started of with a 2 in 1 combination , which worked fine. Now after using Stein yellow line which is brilliant for two weeks or so untill the coating wears off. Maybe a stiffline is my next choice.
