  5. Congrats to Nicky Ward Allen for unnofficially breaking the womens footlock record at the (nz) wellington region climbing comp. A time of 14.? secs-i cant remember the exact time-its on the treetools website. Damn shes quick at footlocking.
  6. 16 strand splice witha special rubber insert that wont affect the strength of the splice or harm the internal fibres.
  7. the best quote so far:001_tongue:
  8. cut the end off a funnel and tape that on bro and it should work sweet. Thats what i did for ages. Itll retrieve better witha flick rather than a pull. Start putting it in tight crotches and see if you can get it stuck.
  9. Picked up a pair of the gronell boots from Honey Bros whilst over in the UK and ive gotta say that im very impressed. Not too heavy and the grip is superb, definetly help with footlocking as the rubber rand bitesthe rope really well. A good investment:001_smile:

  12. Cheers guys! weve had a few people question the webbing due to UV but weve spoke to the webbing people and they confirm at least 3 yrs if left in the sun all day. If bought from treetools, a free webbing replacement will be made available every year for the worriers! The bungy inside is a special one from Donaghys thats a bit of a bitch to insert but gets there eventually-8mm i think. David-the 10mm is definetly splicable, if id known i would of brought some over. No worries rich-was good to meet you too fella!

  18. Home Page will be selling a very similar thing soon adam, and like honeys, it will be way cheaper than buying all the bits individually.
  19. in the quest to make a cheaper (but still useful) RG could i use a maillon and petzl ultralegre instead of the cocoon? i know the ultalegre is an emergency pulley but for safety would this system be sweet? As long as the maillon is super tight? id be interested to see what the conclusion is. My preference is 100% the cocoon but this could be a viable cheap option.
