  5. i use a blakes but i was taught that was by a bloke b4 i went to college excuse the krab on the cambium saver

  7. bowline with a stick in it if im unfortunate enough to be using 3 strand, bull rope doubled up most time though

  16. large gust of wind??? are you very wide and very tall?? i no the ipaf laws etc in all fairness i wouldnt over load it and like i said the buzzer has never gone off!!!!
  17. the driver was a old guy, he said they left 1 at a site and pikes put pallets around it and tourched the whole other rig!!!!!! its got 100tonnes of hammer pressure too!!!
  18. true, but in all fairness i would still be on the first tree which is hanging half way across the trent!!!! the only other way would of been to get a crane on site through some rough ground, they have a tracked crane there but it wasnt the building companies and was in use with the piledriver i posted in large equiptment...
  19. yeah it is a genie, i have used many different types and have a reasonable knowledge that what i did was wrong..............but like i said in the post above the branch was put there by hand, the swl was for 2 blokes and 100kg's iircand not one buzzer has gone off in the past 2 days of use..
  20. yes i do, the picture shows bad practice but the wood hanging off the basket was put there by hand, i cut and then hung it on the basket to move back around to the chipper, it looks massive on the photo, but i would NEVER exceed what i thought was correct
