  3. personally i think the unit is too big and indepth for as you say highway guys i personally think a smaller limited unit that if they needed winches electric ect should call a proper tree team in maybe there was scope for both? I have done literally thousands of storm calls and have only twice needed a winch in 22 years we have highway guys with 30 31 that attend some but if its a proper job they call the tree team and if the description is big or dangerous then call out guys just ring us just hope tomorrow is not too bad as on call again I do agree there is a need for something like this though lantra dont seem to be offering training for it yet:blushing:

  14. gives better directional fell ie harder for hinge to break off and it goes off line hope that helps well thats my understanding anyway:thumbup: and similar to our split level cut but using a wedge saves tree leaning back and cutting wedge ect

  19. i have dunsley boilerone as well and made a point of telling the neighbours it was a clean burn and i could burn logs glad i paid the extra to stop hassle like peter had and i have a bag of smokeless fuel and some mega bone dry wood in the cellar just in case anyone comes knocking on my door been there several years now:thumbup:
  20. like this one dean we have a couple at work but not been too impressed Sahara Garage or Workshop Infa Red Heater Lamp 1.3 KW on eBay (end time 10-Dec-09 14:15:07 GMT)
  21. last year i used propane with one of those things on top like a kebab cooking machine this year i am using a calor gas heater but as everyone elses ,my garage is full of valuable and flamable stuff and overfull always anyone got reasonable alternatives or should i be ok if carefull also worry about fumes

    no problemo mate you been cutting again hardly done any splicing since woodturning and now cod 6 will keep me busy but wifes just turned it off so she can watch telly:thumbdown:

    have you seen HAV exposure limits on the newish stihl handheld blower BG86 you can use it 24hrs per day so would suggest you look at one even my 13yr old son and his mate gave up using the other guys bg85 and only used mine and they don,t even know what HAVs is
