  1. in first one your strop looked a bit long you sempt to be struggling to reach what would happen if your saw had caught and kicked back 2 hands tons safer and when cutting you should have 2 attachment points even if bottom one is below your knees climbers have leant forward to snap then off and strop come over top and guess where they ende up on second one appart from lowering was crap was quite concerned at why you hadn,t stepped up a bit to stop you working at full reach and as for holding on with one hand just below your cutting point what would be the outcome if you had a little slip
  2. this has just made me realise how old i am and how long ago i qualified
  3. tried a saw pod but spent all my time trying to put saw back in harness and often thought i didnt need it as couldnt be bothered to put it on but usually regreted it if its on your harness its always there only use sawpod for epicormicing limes for which its ace
  4. removing big saws is ridiculous i work for a local authority and we had to have our saws checked but were confused by results so re did them using a brand new 357 with different chain sharpens or tightness the results were scary ranging from 2.5hrs down to 14 mins use as dor hedge trimmers go and buy a new sthil one vibrates less than a saw:BoomSmilie_anim:

  6. i think we have all been there not long ago was working with a very experienced climber and i was lowering out a massive bit but were just lowering to stop them flying too far and letting them run to the ground which controled the buts and after several of thes the last one a twist got stuck on the capstan i took a massive smack on my ribs possibly cracked took 3 weeks to stop hurting but as they say **** happens and yes pete Mc tree you were the groundie i was swearing at

    24v to 12v ?

i drive a 17 tonner and we had a dropper put on so we can tow other trailors and chippers they are very common on wagons as all cig lighters are 24v and car kits require droppers though beware the dropper tacho and alarm all use electric and after 4 days often wont start
