  2. What do you do with your woodchip?
  3. No worries, your customer should be grateful for your concern. The less prunning you carry out now gives the tree a chance + gives you more business in the future. Good Luck

    New Haix boots

Wore a pair today. decent boot, take no time to wear in and comfy. seem very hard wearing. YES after reading the blurb they are to aid traction on the ground not while in the tree.

    New Haix boots

One of my guys has been wearing them for a few days now and likes them. You have to undo the spikey attachment bit to wear spikes and replace with a metal plate (more time consuming fiddling). The spikes aid positioning more than branch walking, for example when feet are horizontal along the branch (in the arch) you obtain a realy solid hold. saying that it only works to its full protencial on arch width diameter branches. I'm trying a pair soon!

    chipper

Try a few on demo and see....Are you intending to sell logs? if so you won't need much bigger than a 6" machine. Look out for ex-demos, you can get yourself a bargin and without the hassle of an old machine breaking down during it's first blitz.
  15. Thats a nice avenue...good work.
  16. Nice pics glen! Good to see you working the other day....even though you were slightly on my patch lol. That mewp looked bloody handy for what you were doing.
  17. I remember, nice sunny, good day out. the best years we're had, seasons in europe aren't the same with the general lack of snow, good at the mo though, so you'll have it good!
  18. Nice one Biggun! Good to see a nice reduction on a plane, rather than the usually pollard. Enjoy the boarding with danny!

  20. mogs seem to be the must have for tree surgeons! I don't think i'll ever get one......never say never though. the new one looks awesome. Anyone know the price? Just out of interest, obviously.
  21. Horrific, thoughts go out to his family and work mates.
  22. I agree with the ply for the chip box. make sure it's marine ply and 3/4" if you want it to last. Use angle iron as a frame and it will last forever.

  24. do the work yourself! you might regret everyone getting involved, too many cooks and all that!
  25. Who's the client? did they contact you??
