1. More then happy to loler your kit if you can provide a days climbing due to the distance involved. I,m based in Berkshire. PM me if you're interested.
2. Been climbing on poison ivy for nearly a year now. Its a great rope and has lasted extremely well. I, like you, cannot understand why it is not C.E. marked.
3. Worth a punt.
4. Although Dryad may be a bit far from Brighton, I know they are currently looking for a climber. Have you tried F.W. Green in Lewes?
5. Have you tried Connick Tree Care? They are always looking for good climbers. Their main office is in Reigate, but they used to have a Hove and Brighton branch.
6. In honour of Gerry!
7. The dreaded Meripilus. It was decided to take it down before it fell down and/or became to dangerous to climb.
8. The beginning and end.
9. Took down this beech in a graveyard in Reading. Couldn't use a crane or platform and almost everything had to be lowered. Took 2 days of continuous rigging.

Blue moon?

Has anyone used Yale Blue Moon. It is a 11.7mm version of Blaze, which sounds great. I'm also wondering how it compares to Poison Ivy, my personal favourite:001_smile:.

Old Q, less of the old please Marc!
13. I just entered my first comp last week in Germany (jumping in at the deep end). I was given three pieces of advice by a seasoned competitor, stick to the equipment you are used, don,t worry about being nervous inside the tape, everyone is their first time and enjoy yourself. Hope this helps!
14. I,ve been using the sterling snakebite to footlock on for about 6 months. Its by far the best footlocking line i,ve ever used, there is hardly any give in the rope (0.63% elastic elongation @ 540lbs). This is fantastic for footlocking, none of your effort is wasted. I have not used the rope with mechanical ascenders, i prefer a footlocking strop (i,m intrested to hear from anybody who has). You can get the rope through Btrac and i would suggest the more visable red.
15. Very nice video and work. I'm interested to know what your using to film and how you attach it to your helmet. One small note of caution, be careful when making the second cut of a step cut above the first, especially when using a crane. Your saw can be caught. Please tell me to shut up if i,m stating the bleeding obvious.
