  1. I found that this has been happening so have taken to prussicing with left hand with sawpod on right leg think its a great piece of kit

I hate to add to the gloom but its comming for sure, i personaly have never been out of work left school went to college got city&guilds motor mechanic got bored worked employed then self employed carpenter joiner now im a climber:001_smile:. I feel lucky by the fact that i work for a company that has large council contracts so the effects are different for us but what i trying to get at is if you have a skill thats in demand use it don't be proud,it ment it i would dig ditches to feed my family and it could come to it yet

I agree with arblord on this and i ve seen this in the building trades (my previous occupation) lads go the college/training come back full of it . i was self employed carpenter joiner with no qualifications i can build complicated roofs that men tweenty years senior to me couldnt manage, i think its all about aptitude for the job we've had the ex-forces ex-it all these jonny come lately's and thay have loads of tickets and jack shite between the ears when it comes to the real thing:sneaky2: and when companies start pushing people though second rate training it just impacts on this senario:mad1:
  8. My firm is offering us CS tickets but the guys that have done them are only geting lantra quallifictions. As far as i understood is that lantra provide the trainnig structure then NPTC is the proof that your capable to the (basic) standard so there for if you only hold lantra tickets that to me means that the indivdual has been trained to for example areil rescue but compitance is ?? Please could any one set me right

  10. I ve got some treeme boots gettin on to year old bit of polish and wax now and again still good as, i only use them for private work but do rag them for the money imo cant beat them

  21. Go on then whats the best rope to be paying out for, Im looking to buy my first rope been using new england 13mm but was thinking of something smaller dia with spliced eye (one end of cause) around 50M I like the (think its) blaze xtc 11mm but find it hard to grip ??
