  1. Im the proud owner of a Skylotec EKN Kolibri ,from hb delivered in super quick time once again. Im now faced with lots of choices for attaching saws and stuff ,anyone got any pics of theirs and what works well with this harnesss.P.s are the tool loops rated for hanging saws on . Remember 2 hands on the bat rope !
  2. We timed a rescue on a large tree , it took around 12 mins to get to the casualty . Then we pulled the climber up to the casulty on the lowering system ,4 mins to get him down ..no brainer .We now install a rescue line eg your buddys rope on all big trees. Two hands on the bat rope robin.
  3. So what is the best way to fit a harness ? mines fairly tight round the waist and the leg loops pretty slack .. thats what i find comfortable . Is the belt meant to act as lumbar support ?

  5. .My chiropractor is pretty good she sorted a friend and my mrs old man , but i am fully aware they can do more bad than good as there are charlatans in all trades.I tried the physiotherapist last time and basicly got dicked around so much thats why i went to a chiropractor.
  6. Cheers chaps for the advice ...think i'll take a look at a new harness any excuse ! I've signed up for pilates to sort the core muscles and my fetish for licra .

I've been off work for a month now with a doggy back ,chiropractor is treating it a a prolapsed disc [ i'm not convinced ].Anyway as i'm doing pretty much naff all, apart from watching homes under the hammer ,i thought id look into a new harness.As i have no intention of giving up climbing im trying to reduce the risk of this happening again.My current harness of 5 years is a dragonfly which is ok ,but im thinking the seat is causing my back to bannana ,which is a big no no for the posture.Ive been hunting around and the Petzl Sequioa looks pretty good as well as the treeflex .:questionmark: Remember 2 hands on the bat rope .

  11. I tried the running bowline for anchoring in the canopy which worked well but does have the rescue issues , switched to a longer static line and using a capstan locked off and backed up with a prussik .
  12. Never really got mine to self tend that much unless there is a lot of rope hanging below ya ..
  13. Super hot day had to take my sips down to relive the legs , customer walked round the corner to find me on her patio chair with me trollies round my ankles making ohhh ohh noises.

  15. does the spider have two brake thingys on it and whats with the wood bit , i tested a lockjack at the apf didnt like it much think the spiderjack may be better for me ..

  17. Half hitch timber hitch and cut a couple of notches keeps the rope from slipping ..
  18. When you hear a 020 somewhere and have to do a drive by;and having the ability to woof down a flying start in 2 minutes .. and the clicking of caribiners in the morning gives you wood...
  19. We had our loler inspection at work today , the chap said 8mm hitch cord is frowned upon and minimum cordage should be 9mm for hitches. Is this right cause i just bought a shed load of 8mm..

  23. We try do do a couple a month , after much practice and trials we found youd be pretty stuffed if you cut yourself .Pre installed rescue lines speed it all up on large trees ..hope i never have to use it
