  6. chestnut burns fine for me even used some poplar lastnight been cut and split for 6 months .. Not my front room but the same fire, Swedish design flimmin hot
  7. Just started my second year doing the CHE arb been set an paper on tree propagation methods anyone know any good links ..
  8. We get regular HAV tests at work ,i also get fizzy/dead hands my last tester said it was down to gripping to tightly which is probably why i get arm pump like a mofo when riding mx..
  9. Dam right a good climber makes a good groundie they appreciate how tricky it is up there sometimes and try to help . Worked with groundies who cant even tie a running bowline or a sheet bend to send up ropes ,winds me up trying to untie a lasher knot ....moan over !!!!

Found a nest with eggs today in a row of Leylandii ,decided to leave it thats just me ,some of the guys wanted to waste them .We can come back and fell and chip the remaining tree in 30 mins no probs there. I know there not protected but it just seems a bit pointless if you dont have to.What do you lot say
  12. Good call on the walnut recon he would have split out , we use heavy duty ratchet straps to add some support if it looks to hairy or if there is visible movement .
  13. Never been before is there any arb stuff ,not to far from me.
  14. How long was the tree dead for before you got there to do the work ? it looks pretty knackered think a m.e.w.p would have been handy in that situation.
  15. I rec climb quite a bit it's a good chance to try new stuff and the mrs loves it, only thing is trying to find good trees to climb that are not on private land.
  16. Saw dust in the blood me , rubbish money but job satisfaction is worth more to me than anything
  17. The VT does take a bit of getting used to ,its loads better for branch walks and it self tends which is great, less effort .I would not go back to a blakes or a prussic.
  18. I have been playing with srt on my own time ,i love it anything that saves time and effort is good in my books.Gonna try to convert my boss so we can use it for every day work and rescue applications.
