  1. Yes the trailer drives so pretty hard to get it stuck. It will lift about 2 ton straight but I can get bigger sticks on picking up one end and dragging them on.
  2. Thanks Steve, don't really want to sell it but I don't really use it enough any more to warrant keeping it. If I didn't have the lorry then it would not be going. It has enabled me to win a lot of big tree jobs, no cutting up on site.
  3. Time has come to sell my Tractor and timber trailer. Since buying the lorry it is not really used enough and we don't do so much woodland work now. Also selling the bulk chip trailer. I have placed an ad in the classifieds, pm me if you are interested or want more info. It is ideal for big jobs and saves a lot of cutting up on site.
  4. Here Associated Utility Supplies
  5. You bored mate? Why don't you tidy your garage...
  6. Anyone know what normal iron/steel is going for at the mo as I got a load that could go, probably about 2/3ton? And some ally as well.
  7. Hi Paul, Yes I'm well thanks, been meaning to catch up with you. Nice to see you posting on here, brave move! Andy
  8. Plus the dreaded I'm afraid
  9. Dates to be set when there are 5 people on the course. I have 2 already. If you let me know if your interested I will try to organise the dates to suit all. PM me with your details and I will be in contact. Thanks Andy
  10. We are running a course for the Appointed persons (BS7121) certificate. If you hire in cranes for tree work then this is a ticket you should have if you only want to hire in the crane without their AP which normally costs an extra £250 per day. The course will be based in Suffolk and is 2 days in duration, I have 3 spaces left if anyone is interested. Cost £300pp. We will also be running a slinger/signaller course which the climber should have as he is the one attaching the branches/load. This is one day and costs £140pp. Let me know if anyone is interested.
  11. Suffolk/Essex border, Sudbury
  12. It varies a lot depending on how old it is and moisture content. We once weighed it in builders bags on a weighbridge and it worked out at 7.5bags to the ton. This was really dry woodchip approx 22/25% m/c from the bottom of the pile, no leaf and about 18months to 2yr old. The 100 c/m walking floor artics go about 25/28t when we load them full of woodchip which is no older than 6 months. Hope this helps
  13. Matty, I have this kit and would possibly be interested in hiring, pm me and I will try to send some picks later, out to work just now.
  14. I have got two of them, both used but only taken out of service because of age, been stored in a dry plastic box so not rotten, was going to put on ebay, pm me if interested.
  15. I need an extra groundie for a job on Monday, I know it's short notice but if anyone is interested please let me know or pm me. Based on Suffolk/Essex border.
  16. Matty I'm pleased you posted this as I was feeling much the same and was going to have a rant myself. We have a firm round these parts and that is all they seem to do, they have written to several regular customers who have shown me the letter but I have lost some business to new customers. I think it is totally unethical and a mean and low thing to do and by the sound of so do most other people on here as well. I am not the only one, I know of 3 other firms that they have really hacked off as well and if they carry on they are going to end up unhappy.
  17. I have timber lorry and am happy to hear from anyone wanting timber moved off site in East Anglia or 50 or so mls from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. We run a forestor sawmill back at the yard and also a mobile.
  18. R.I.P Mick, you will be missed. The arb world has lost a good man. Condolences to his family.
  19. If you could send Your CV or more details into the office that would be good. Send to [email protected] or call the office on 01787 319200. Thanks James.

  20. I had to apply for change of use from agricultural land to timber yard. Was not too much hassle to do, that came later when I wanted to put up a barn but that's another story. I think if you just want to store timber it's not too much hassle but every LA will look at it a bit differently as well.
  21. As Steve said. We have 150 or 190 tracked timberwolfs for hire at Enviroplant and are half hour from Bury. Tried to pm you but your msg box was full. Give me a call or pm me or more info.
  22. Yes please can you let me know how much as about to order some
  23. AA member and approved contractor
  24. Yours are 265/70 tho Steve
