  1. they phoned last week chatted for about ten minutes ,then asked me how i would like to pay the £200 so i hung up
  2. aye managed to pass , jason had a mate who worked with him that was on the course but he never turned up for the exam i think he was called andy
  3. was on the same rfs course as jason a few years back, stayed the night at auchincruive before the test and went out for a few beers with the big man

  5. Just priced a similar job, got a quote from a company to put up 2 way traffic lights for one day £250 +vat they would also sort out permit from council which i think was £115

  7. Did it a few years ago with sac also it was a great course, i bought the home learning pack before i realised sac ran the course,it looked like it could be a bit of a nightmare trying to do it by yourself

    Yellow Pages

    ditched yellow pages but stuck with yell.com with yellow pages i found i was running about quoting all the time for small jobs,still not convinced by yell.com.Ithink an ad in a local paper/magazine and trying to get your website on the early pages of the google search for tree work in your area is not a bad idea imo

    had another look today much more developed in the last few days looks very much like polyporus
  20. Found this on a horse chestnut on a large fork which showed significant die back. The other fork appeared in relatively good health. Does anyone know what it is. Ta fungi.pdf
  21. cheers think i will do that,probably start the job on some of the smaller stuff ,in case it all kicks off. have to have another meeting with developer so i will ask to see some paperwork,
  22. in a bit of a dilema , priced up a job to fell approxs 15 mature trees oak,sycamore ,horse chestnut etc. and clear a lot of shrubbery. job is for a developer price has been accepted he wants to know when we can start. he has told me there are 8 tpo trees on site which are not being touched ,dont think it is a conservation area, The site at present is a pub/hotel so quite public . not sure whether to trust developer or make a tentative enquiry to tree officer as to status of trees on site at the risk of drawing attention to the site . the developer has shown me the building plans and tree survey,dont know if planning permission has been granted
  23. had one for about a month great little saw for light reductions thinning etc as long as you dont get too ambitious with it . only thing is its nothing like as bombproof as the ms200.
