Maybe there is a fuel shortage. Maybe they want to restrict travel to subdue an as yet unknown variant of covid. Maybe they realise that they messed up by leaving the customs union and foregoing the free movement of people. I'm all for leaving the EU but I want no part of any curtails on movement. Maybe they're just incompetent. Perhaps it's people being silly at petrol stations.

Richard Burgon MP @RichardBurgon If we put a 10% tax on the wealth of those with over £100m, we would raise £69 billion. A Wealth Tax is how we should fund much-needed investment in social care - not a hike in National Insurance contributions that will hit the lowest paid.

I like the idea of socialists in power. Unfortunately there doesn't seem any chance of that happening in the country anytime soon. I could see myself voting for Angela Raynor if and when Starmer gets booted out. In the interim I'm politically homeless. I am glad that more people are realising that the Conservatives don't have their best interests at heart though.

We should instigate a wealth tax, anyone with over a hundred million has to give 40% away. That would sort it.
