  10. Aye, that was Hillsborough.
  11. Don't read the sun
  12. Aye, those muckle boats burn a stupid amount of fuel. Even so, little steps: I think we all need to go as green as we can while keeping one foot in the reality bucket. I'm sure if we got our heads together we could sort things out and still have time for macho stuff. https://inews.co.uk/news/long-reads/cargo-container-shipping-carbon-pollution/ https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/jan/24/worlds-first-electric-container-barges-to-sail-from-european-ports-this-summer
  13. And you mate.
  14. I agree that it needs more countries to participate in order to make more of a difference. Either way, we should be looking after our environment. Would it be so bad to curtail our emissions and prioritise renewable energy etc., even if America, China et al didn't initially follow suit? At least we'd have a nicer place to live in, while we watch the next generations starve of oxygen and/or die of thirst.
  15. I don't think that that Swedish lass is proclaiming to be an expert in anything. She's just going off what scientists have found out. I think she makes a fair point. Well, we need to start somewhere, why not lead by example?

    Jokes???

A couple, both age 78, went to an NHS sex therapist's office. The doctor asked, "What can I do for you?" The man said, "Will you watch us have sex?" The doctor looked puzzled, but agreed. When the couple finished, the doctor said, "There's nothing wrong with the way you have sex," and charged them £50. This happened several weeks in a row. The couple would make an appointment, have sex with no problems, pay the doctor, then leave. Finally, the doctor asked, "Just exactly what are you trying to find out?" "We're not trying to find out anything," the husband replied. "She's married and we can't go to her house. I'm married and we can't go to my house. The Holiday Inn charges £90. The Hilton charges £108. We do it here for £50...and I get £43 back from Bupa
  17. Aye, he was a talent and a half.
  18. Sunny Newcastle
  19. A light dusting of glitter before it dries out would finish it off nicely. Or you could just let it dry out. Looks like ash.
  20. Sometimes it does. Insurance companies like to see things signed off by consultants though.
  21. The BGS website has soil data on it. However, you do get localised pockets of shrinkable soil, so site investigations are the only way to say with any certainty.
  22. Why does it have to come out? What about the other vegetation also?
  23. You really need to instruct an arboricultural consultant to provide you with a report. There are too many variables to consider to offer opinion online.
