    441 v 460

460/046 is one of the best saws around imo. I have two of them and regularly run them with either 20" or 24" bars skip or fullhouse they will pull those set-ups in any combination no problem. If you can find a dealer around with a 440 still I'd consider that if you're only going to be running a short bar and ocassionally a 25". Just mentioning cause my local dealer has two of the 440's around still.
  4. Old school, cause I'm new (if that makes sense). I want to become very comfortable with the tried and true and slowly incorporate more techniques/tricks into the bag. Also I learned to climb in the bush (logging) with spurs/flipline, no climbline so even having a extra lanyard and a climbline are like new techniques to me.
  5. I don't take nothing on the old interweb personally. Rounded shoulders and all that. And I love a good razz so bring it on
  6. I knew it nobody likes those Ridgelines, lol. My wife had to have one!
  7. No worries man, I was just giving it right back to ya
  8. They're yellow eh? We have no Bartlett in this neck of the woods. They're down on the coast but don't venture into the interior. Atleast I've never seen them here.
  9. I was kind of wondering, even though I couldn't think of for the life of me why they would want to buy a truck from up here. Back east eh? I'm not really up on my companies out there. Like I am on the companies in Florida:alien:
  10. Umm Kevin I'd think there are simpler and cheaper ways to test a trees stability
  11. And that my friend is why Americans are so universally loved.
  12. Here's some Japanese and some North American for ya. Honda Ridgeline. 99 Chevy 1 ton dually. '91 Ford 1 ton Dually. '90 Ford F-700 forestry unit. I also have a 92' Ford 1 ton single rear wheel I'll have to dig up a pic or two of it somewhere. And the last one is of the boss with my forestry unit before it was painted.
  13. Well I came for all the freestuff and then found out y'all are hoarding it for yourselves Anyone in the knowz, knowz I came from the Treehouse
  14. I know I don't hang here often. But! Know without a doubt that Kenny posts this out of a desire to spread knowledge not to make himself look smart or feel important. Understanding why/how something works is a big step in taking it to the next level. And also know without a doubt that he definetly understands forces/friction, if it's a cut and paste it's a cut and paste of his own words. Just my .02 Just give it a chance you never know what 'light bulbs' may turn on. I for one always apreciate when the spyder takes the time to share.
  15. Well I'd enter too, but I see in the fine print UK only. What about the commonwealth?
  16. Stihl all the way! Don't get me started
  17. Yes it is, so in otherwords yes it does suck . Running that thing is a guaranteed bloodletting.
  18. Heh I can't get an avatar either what's up?
  19. Heh you calling us Canadians out? Seriously sounds rough over there hope y'all are fairing alright in the flooding.
  20. Cause we just keep coming back like a bad rash Gary . Gotta keep my thread bumped eh.
