Yeah I know all that, I listern and learn from the leaders in this field, you ''cannot'' inocculate mature trees with Mychorrhiza succesfully, ask Andy Cowan, Ted Green and any knowledgable mycologists...cultivate what you have, thats the trick... I havent seen one recent paper that praises mychorriza innoculation...

  5. Why isn't the college supplying a template? surely the reason you're at college is to learn from the tutors?

Are we talking about adding mychorrizal fungi spores to mature or newly planted trees? if we are talking mature, then adding mychorrizal spores is a waste of time, money and effort, rersearch papers have proven its snake oil, plus a large tree wouldn't have gotten large if mychor wasn't present, the trick is cultivate the mychor you already have...   11. I don't think 10 mins is enough time allowed to edit a post, anyone else agree? I edited and added to a post today, and went to send it and my time had expired, very annoying, most other forums do not have an editing expiry time, it would be good if we could have at least 30 mins..

  15. If you think the above chippers expensive the 220 tracked I seem to remember being quoted around 45k plus another several thousand for variable tracks............. you need some work to make that earn, bloody hell my new lorry was only around 25k............ The pounds weak, but even so!!
  16. You know the best thing Andy leave the blackthorn to numpties, nice slender snedded poles go nicely through a TW and go through gateways and past conservatories so much easier too..

Operated [me] compact 4x4 tractor for hire with front end loader, comes with grab or bucket, grab will lift 500kg no sweat and opens to around 36'', it can also come with either a 13 ton log splitter or 3.5 ton skidding winch [70m cable] The tractor is ideal for brush dragging and log carting, lifting large container grown trees into pits etc, does ten times the work of a grunt, tractor comes with turf tyres, and a bloke who doesn't mind jumping off if need be and using a saw..
