I can carry more in my one lorry, than you can with 2 3.5 ton trucks [35 cwt to us old timers]

Lorry with hia-ab much better value -
most vans/ 3.5 ton trucks can tow between 2 and 3.5tons thats a lot more than they can carry, not so sure I understand what you mean when you say, you see vans towing diggers over loaded.. Have an accident whilst over loaded injure someone, see what a jury and judge think of that...

Ernest Doe & Sons said they could fit an Italian crane/loader on an Ifor for me, way too much money for the crane imo.. Steve at Riko would be able to reinforce an Ifor Williams draw bar i'm sure and fit a crane with Honda hyraulic pack, just make sure your sitting down when these engineers give you a price.. If work was a bit better i'd have bought a second hand lorry with flatbed and hi-ab, much better value for money imo, if work had been pouring in i'd have bought a Valtra with roof mounted crane.... -

Off topic but we won't be running out of oil in the near distant future, I doubt even my great grandchildren will see the end of oil use! A mate of mine is in the oil industry, no small player! he says all the reccent oil price increases and lies that we are running out is one big con-trick !
