  1. I used to love the wooden handles, but I now prefer the contours of the newer plasticky ones. I think the varnish coatings on the wood made them slippier when wet.
  2. Things of beauty, works of art.....stunning in fact, cant beat buying nice new bits and bobs to make the day more pleasureable:001_rolleyes:
  3. Well, I will then:biggrin: But a helpful post here may just help another in future who's desperate for a piece of kit when all others are shut.
  4. I walked away from a job a while back, boundary tree but no definitive boundary. Client (builder) wanted it down, neighbour didnt, claimed it was their tree, I smelled a load of hassle, and left. Not worth the waste of time. Oh and the tree is still there, 2 years on.
  5. Do they open Saturday mornings still?
  6. Big D:thumbup:
  7. The best cook-up we had was when myself and Mr Bullman turned up to work for lee winger, opened the back doors of the lorry, 2 gas rings blasting away with a couple of big pans sizzling away in the back:thumbup:
  8. You aint going to drag the poor bird in too surely its done its bit to help your meteoric rise to stardom by now:001_rolleyes:
  9. Well he did have a screw loose for years, perhaps this will solve the problem:lol:
  10. I was so up for posting a pic of a fry up in a big pan, and Tony gone and totally trumped me:001_rolleyes:
  11. Its ok John, the fame wont go to my head, do you want my star to stick on your dressing room door, and I'd rather have met Christine Bleakley too:biggrin:

  17. I was undercover spying on the opposition (3miles from my boys Plant Centre) Tbh I think its a pretty cool venture, and they are just the sort to make it work, and have the right amount of money:biggrin:
  18. Is it safe to lunge with leccy cable running across the ground? or is this "live"lunging, cant tell as you dont have enough hair
  19. Belated Best wishes Mozz, hope you had a good un:thumbup:
  20. I've only done a small amount of Blackthorn, and it was fine, but I wouldnt want to chip much of it tbh
  21. Shot in the dark, sticky valve?
  22. Thank for the clarification, Yve, I didnt know whether or not Type C were available:001_smile:
  23. A friend of mine did his Forestry a few years back, and his range of knowledge is vast. I think the Forestry ticket is probably a better one to have, better preparing you for the real world. To give you an idea of the work he does, he's a tree climber (he dislikes the "arborist" moniker) a forester, and a rural surveyor for a Land Agency, so he covers many angles of the tree working world, from management to hands-on.
  24. I'm just about 6'4", and have no trouble finding tall fit trousers. Just bought a pair of Oregon Fjordland trousers (type A) 36-38"waist long leg and they are fit just so. Maybe worth a look to see if they do a Type C if you are doing aerial work.
  25. But we need a member who has one of these machines to shout about its qualities so others know. This is the best place to get products out there, and honest reports by the users must help sales.
