  1. few pics from this mornings job, co-dominant willow with a crack at the bottom...it was a bit windy today but it didnt appear to be opening too badly.....wouldnt have wanted to rig off it though
  2. stihl do a really good course but its very limited numbers and from what i can gather available only to dealers......if you're very chummy with your nearest stihl dealer it might be worth having a word!
  3. not thought about just finding a better company to work for? if i a climber with 10 years experience is working for £59 then more fool him IMO....of course an employer is going to take advantage of that!

  11. my saws in the shop at the moment with carb issues and i had a very interesting chat with the mechanic. its the S61D carbs with the issue but stihl have produced a remedy for the problem. they need a pump piston kit fitted, part number 11291209701, this well rectify any probs and only costs 7.31+vat for the part.....some places might try and fit a new carb instead at the cost of around £60 plus labour

  18. thanks dagmar...i wonder if theres any more recent study on this, beings as that paper is 16-17 years old? good find all the same though. in your work do you come across many fruit trees with variegated leaves and is the fruit production as high?
  19. sounds cool.....and in theory it should draw big crowds, will be interesting to see if it does or not
  20. they're not uncommon to find, you'd probably want to go to more of a tool hardware shop than the likes of b&q though. i think i saw some teng stuff in halfords once come to think of it
