    Eh!

Looks like it was liquid damped too! We used to replace them regularly in a past life, annoying but not the end of the world as you get an indication of pressure from the tail end.
  3. Alder? Just about to put some on my fire...
  4. Got to laugh really, do the advertisers specifically target GB News readers with alzheimers adverts? You do also realise that it is just their "provisional" figures?
  5. All academic really, you could never drive 800 miles in a day legally and its like the early days of change over from animals pulling carts to vehicles and all the technological problems that we had back then. Perhaps we need to try something different rather than say "We've done it this way for years and we shouldn't try to change. "?
  6. Another vote for Einhell. I have one and two x 3 and 4Ah batteries as I can be cutting with one pair and charging the other. Seems to cut well as long as you aren't forcing it otherwise it can stop suddenly, but you can hear when it is labouring and ease off.
  7. I don't have a time machine to get me back to the 80's 🤷‍♂️
  8. Hell yeah! Close enough to whisper in their ear.
  9. Possibly true half a century and more ago but not so much now, I was one of those who was out of school and on the dole in the mid 70's and facing that possibility went the other route of armed forces engineer. Swans shut, Consett iron co shut, pits shut etc etc and places like that had originally drawn people from other areas and countries because there was work/money, when that happens it isn't easy to return so there's always going to be a problem and that's what the government should be doing only better. However entrepreneurs do it better, Robert McAlpine was a major player getting Nissan into the UK, shame we don't have politicians who can spot opportunities like that.
  10. Sure is but with good optics is it necessary? It will be less affected by a cross wind but not by that much but is using a lot more powder compared with a 223 or 222, both of which are good accurate rounds. I'm not sure if 22 250 is fussy regarding bullet weights and twist rate my old triple didn't like 55gn and above but was fine on fox, crows and roe out to 200- 300yds with the right bullet.
  11. I think that is the minimum for live targets, it was a major factor for me. In fact I much preferred rolling my own for paper and live shooting
  12. Barrel burner, I liked the .223 & .222 but if you need a do-it-all, 6mm in some form is a good calibre.
  13. That's because they aren't on the Internet and are getting on with their job.
  14. Had a good one for a while, after he retired the next one said I "should" lock up my shotgun ammunition. I buy pigeon carts by the 10 000 and split with my friend, so not happening but eventually he conceded that since the guns were in a cabinet bolted to the joists and firearm ammo and bolts in a safe also bolted to the joists and all in a locked gun room with no window was as good as it was ever going to get.
  15. I'd rather eat my own ear wax than meet you after school and ***** you ya nonce.
  16. At least I won’t be a dismissive 🔔🔚
  17. September to January, ferrets, nets, lamps and. 22 rimfire after that they are free to procreate and keep me busy the next season.
  18. It is of course, what the thread is about.
  19. It is if you know how conspiracy theories work. Anyway, back to Trump "No other president would have done what I've done!" Ya think! Raise tariffs and the stock market dives, lower them and it rallies. Twitchy bums all round I think.
  20. Tangent central!

    Cramp .

No, I don't but I do wear slippers and flip flops a lot which extends my calf and achilles as well as exercise. Hope you get it sorted soon 👍
  22. I'm also a veteran and I prefer to be accepted and liked and generally give a schmitt. Memes, schmemes
  23. Millions on the dole, no jobs, industries and mines being run down.
  24. It can also be through carbon offsetting by large companies, they pay for the boiler and installation and due to bulk buying and carbon offsetting they can make money. Ask the doorknocker who's paying. We had external insulation fitted at a previous house and it was well worth it.
