Yes I could but I live in New Zealand! They sell them on Amazon UK. I have read countless pages of reviews on Chinese, Uk and US websites for the same design unit, and come across a couple of 'not charging' reviews, but mainly good feedback.

I really miss them though.. It might just be the cables but due to them using a non standard charging port, I can't test them with another cable. The charging light comes on if I wiggle it about, but doesn't seem to fit the port properly - so the unit itself is working, however the charger port/cable is faulty. I have a friend who bought a similarly priced but different Chinese model which has run for years.

I know this is a thread about cheap sets but my opinion may help some folk.

I bought three Sena 10s sets last year and they are good, however I wish I'd spent more and got the Sena Tufftalk sets.

Reason is that the wires can be a pain and the battery on the outside of the helmet is a liability.

There you go.

I'm just researching some comms & found this thread.

Regarding the tufftalk, how would you use them with a climbing helmet? The options I can see are for general hard hats or a dedicated set of ear defenders.

we use fodsport  ms1- pro, its ok but we have had problems with the cables loosening and having a poor connection.

we put them in the ear defender, it doesnt effect the performance of the ear defender.

are the senas bomb proof and loads better? any other brands reliable? i wouldnt say our ones were perfect but they wernt mad money either.

i wouldnt want to work without some form of comm, so handy.

carl.
