My dad has a husqy 135, and it was a good little saw when it was running. However it has just had a light sieze and now requires new internals, which isnt really worth it considering the price of a new one.

He also has a mac 420, which is used and abused but still going although showing signs of wear now. But put them side by side and we would both prefer to use the mac for some strange reason.

Me personnally, i run a dolmar ps350 and a makita 9100. For what you are wanting to do, i would personnally opt for something like a dolmar 5105 or 6100. People also rave about the echo range, but cannot comment as i have never used one.

You have a 38cc saw so why would you step up 3cc to a 41cc saw ? It sounds like you need something at least 50cc and proper industrial not a firewood saw.

not being funny but if you can afford to buy 16 acres of woodland you should be able to afford a decent saw to maintain it:confused1:

I'll take it off his hands if he doesn't want to spend on it harvey. I have one and it would be an interesting project. Ask him if he's interested.

Thanks guys I think I need 50 cc saw.

I did compression test today on my MAC, it is 38cc and after 5 pulls it read 150-155 PSI.

Is this good? Never done compression test before.
