Any one have any experiences with either of these -"Smart log - firewood holder" or the "timber Croc" . To me the timber Croc is the more robust. But is heavy, they claim 20 kg feels more like 30kg and about €200 vs €130 for the smart. Also the chances are the Croc might not be used without the trailer, especially if you had any distance to travel.

I made one up the same as the timber croc, fancied a little welding project. Used it for awhile and they work fine. Went back to using my Portek saw horse as it holds the chainsaw and is easier to get the logs to drop into a barrow.

Thought I'd just link this here - this is my own log-holder, very cheap, works excellently.

Excellent idea, Thanks for sharing. Anyone knows the name of the son.

Sorry should have mentioned the song - I'll stick it in the description - its SONGS FROM THE WOOD, by the great Jethro Tull, from the album Songs From The Wood (1977)

By the way, Im sure Ian Anderson cuts his own firewood - but NOT while standing on one leg....and if he does; that doesn't mean YOU should, no matter how big a Tull fan you are, or were, back in the day... Its dangerous, and stupid....And I'm sure Ian and the lads would tell you the same.
