seconded, ground level , it will make a wonderful hedge within a year, cut at 4ft, it will always be leggy

 

so cutting at ground level would be preferable to at 4ft?

 

Sounds ready for properly laying.

 

Lay it i get plenty that size to do:thumbup:

cutting as low as possible will produce new growth that can then be easily managed to produce bushy growth instead of leaving old leggy wood at the bottom of the hedge

Lay it and do the job right. This one was at the height of the ivy on the lime and up to 12" diameter.
