Suggestions for a lightweight chainsaw powerful enough for a 18/20 ins bar.

That's my choice as well - but 550 or 560 is a matter of priority between light weight and power. Then, the 50cc saw will be quite front heavy with a 20" bar, not an ideal combination at all.

For more to the point advice, we will need to know more about how the saw and bar is going to be used.

Got a 562 as my lightest rear handled and love it 18 inch bar loads of power and speed great in the tree and on the ground it's a saw ya find urself not needing a bigger one for so much more than u would expect from a 60cc saw awesome

The new Oregon 95TXL should enable longer bars to be run on less powerful saws as well.

Takes a narrower kerf but is still .325 .050 - very new so not many reports on it yet.

Maybe this chain ( 95 TXL ) and a Husqvarna 550 XP should work ok.

Thanks for the info once again.

Another option could be a 346 or 350 with as rob suggests 325 050 bar and chain, mine is great for medium blocking down. Sent it to spud, light (for the power) and now v rapid, use mine with 16" and 18" bars
