Is that expensive because it's ideal for carvers?

It really shouldn't be any more than firewood prices at best.

Yes carvers make more money from logs than firewood merchants but that's down to time/labour and skills. £400 per log would bankrupt me as the cost would have to be added to the carving and that would make it impossible to be competitive within the carving industry.

Hi guys im fairly new to this but I know its cost me alot of money to move I understand the hours it woukd take to turn it into somthing amazing and also what it would be worth to sell to a customer carved would be alot higest offer takes it thanks Greg
