I'm based in West of Ireland. My nearest greenmech dealer is in Northern Ireland as the company where I bought mine in Dublin have stopped supplying gm machines and parts. There is a fairly robust rad in it which makes them a bit dearer than the normal. Getting prices of over 600 euro so far.

our chipper was recored last year i think i payed 160 ish

I paid 300+VAT for a replacement radiator to be built for a jensen A540 6" tracked chipper in 2013 so 600 euros doesn't surprise me. A transit one only cost 98+VAT earlier this year, the benefits of mass production I suppose.

The thing about british chippers is tht many OEM parts are available direct from parts suppliers without paying the premium at dealers for the marque. Bearings, belts and switches seem to be about 40% of the dealer prices.

1928 radiators are massive - I'd imagine a recore would've dear. I've had one cleaned out professionally by a radiator company in Wrexham (I'd had many attempts myself and actually took it in to them for a re-core, but they took the decision to clean it out instead). It was (and still is) perfect afterwards, but they wouldn't tell me how they do it!!
