  1. Hi Jase, neither forward or reverse working. Hydraulic pump belt is tight and new and alternator belt tight. It is working perfect for hours and its after been switched off and then on that it doesn't work. Doesn't happen all of the time but at the moment not working. I'll pass your advice on to the mechanic. The revs seem normal but what should they be at, good to know? We will run through what you said. The machine has just gone over a 1000 hours. Would it be possible that a valve could stick? Alan
  2. Hi, Arbtrak 200 rollers not working intermittently. Checked everything. Solenoids , limit switches oil flow. Any ideas? Thanks
  3. I normally use excel for the tree survey schedule after changing it to a print friendly format. The main report I just do in word. I figure if I could do the bulk of the excel information on site it would cut down the office time. I appreciate that there are probably easier ways but in my case I think I would be cutting the work load somewhat.
  4. I like the look of the Samsung Active 2. Have always used Samsung so would be familiar. Also I tend to use excel for most reports so this could work. Anyone used these? Thanks for the feedback.
  5. Hi there. Looking for some advice on how to collect tree data electronically. Mostly for BS5837 and standard tree reports such as health and risk. At the moment I record data on paper and type it up afterwards which is tedious. I seen a thread before on this but can't find it now. Thank you in advance.
  6. Great service from M Large Belfast. Richard and apprentice mechanic Nephin replaced carrier bearing and fly wheel on arbtrak 200, all covered on warrenty.Safe travel back to the North lads.[emoji3] [emoji3] [emoji106]
  7. Hi Jase. Texted you this morning .I assume now that's a landline or I got the number wrong if you didn't get my message . Had to go to Germany and will call Friday when I'm back at the chipper. Sorry for the confusion.
  8. Thanks Jase. Will do.
  9. Sorry 300 rpm less than they normally would.
  10. The revs are fairly constant just showing abut 300 rpm less than Burnsall both on idle and run. It is the older EHB box .
  11. Hi. The feed rollers on my 1928 won't engage.also the computer display is showing a much lower rpm than normal. Engine revs still should the same. Could this be an electronic solinoid problem or worse the computer is busted? I've had the alternator tested and is fine. Advice will be much appreciated.
  12. It's a Parker overcentre valve..I will ask my fitter to try a pressure test and see what that turns up. .
  13. Hi all, Does anyone know where I can get a used valve for the self leveling ram on our omme mewp. I can get it new but is very expensive. Or can these be repaired? I was told that is better to bin it once they give trouble. Appreciate any help as always. ..
  14. Thanks for the advice Jase. 19-28 back in action. [emoji4]
  15. Thanks Jase. Will do that. Really appreciate the advice. A
  16. Hi. Just had a replacement engine fitted into my safetrac mark1. All running well but when I go to switch from idle to run it makes an atempt at high revs but almost instantly goes back to idle.it had been laid up for the past few months so not sure if this had affected the control unit. Wiring seems to be all back in place as it was with previous engine. Wind appreciate any advice. ..
  17. Looks like the same engine in the 19-28. Isuzu 4le1? I've had 2 radiator pumps go in mine in the space of 4 years. Worth checking. Fingers crossed your engine block is not cracked .I would not wish that on anyone after what I went through. Good luck with it and hope your up and running soon.
  18. Struggles a bit with the heavy loads. I usually go to 4wd low if its an awkward hilly spot. I think the 3.2litre ranger would suit me better. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. I had a 10ft ifor Williams but the chipper GM 1928 safetrak used to sit too far back and the trailer would snake plus two back trailer tyres wore quickly. This is the 12ft which is perfect for the chipper. 6k euro plus vat without ramps, sheeting and chevron. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. Thanks for the advice. When the time came to trade up we were going through a recession here and I was not in a position to upgrade. I probably held on to it a bit too long and could have looked after it better in the earlier years. Anyway I would like to get it back in action as it has served me well and has worked in some very difficult terain. I owe it to the machine to give it another few years.
  21. That's interesting. I've wondered what the mark 2 was like.
  22. Thanks I will try that.i Have plenty of time as the engine is being overhauled because a con rod broke. The fitter thinks the rad is a bit dodgy and would not like to use it after getting the engine rebuilt.
