Sure I can rely on the Arbtalk collective to identify this poor fella, dead unfortunately.

 

South west France, but I'm sure they wander to the uk oftimes.

 

I'd love to know their names but haven't the heart to catch them, or a camera good enough to get a decent living image.

Another one for the lepidopterists. A small moth I found on my kitchen wall.

Only a centimetre across, easily missed but exquisite neverless.

 

Any ideas? Preliminary googling is fruitless.

I have quite a few of them around the place this year.

Sorry Mick, I can't help you with that one.

 

 

But

 

I did see this Moth in the New Forest a couple of weeks ago. Looked just like a silver birch twig. Amazing camophlage.
