It’s moot point. But what are they actually going to do if you haven’t got a card? Send you back home? Or insert you into the never ending loop of the EHCR legal system?

Personally,  neither have I, even further,  I think everyone should have their dna recorded and stored for used in detection of a crime too. But, there is a section of the community believe that carrying an ID, is against their rights to anonymity!

If the authorities want to find out who you are they can, and will, if you get pulled.

I don't think mandatory ID cards should be a thing.

Why should we carry ID? There are loads of places in the world where you need to prove who you are. I like the fact I can walk out the house with a wedge of cash in my pocket and do what I please.

I cannot see any issue with ID cards.

I can introduce you to two lads I work with often, both from Rostock, they might have something different to say having grown up in the old East Germany.
Not that you’d listen mind but they do give some idea of what state overreach is like.

ID cards are still needed in Germany.

How many people do you work with! Never mind that they seem to side with you on all matters arbtalk.

Ask them if one handing an 020 is good practice or not. Im sure that me and the rest of the arbtalk community would be really interested in their opinions.
